Level IV_ Blog 8: English language challenges
For me, speaking in general has always been complex, as I suffer from a condition called "ankyloglossia" or tongue-tie, which is a disorder in which an unusually short, thick or tight band of tissue (lingual frenulum) sticks the underside of the tip of the tongue to the base of the mouth, In my case my tongue is not completely attached to the base of the mouth but I do have a frenulum that is too short, which makes it difficult for me to produce certain sounds when I speak or simply cannot generate them, it also causes me to get very tangled, almost sounding like I stutter, something that happens to me especially when I try to speak faster. This was complex for me in college, because, at least the first teacher I had in English (level II), did not consider it, did not understand my situation, and did not care, however, with the other two teachers I have had in English III and English IV, my experience was much more pleasant, since the teachers assigned to me, if they are aw...
